What is the age limit?
The minimum age is 16.
What type of obstacles will there be?
There are approx. 30+ obstacles over the 10km course. These include climbing over/under/through structures, muddy ditches, water features, load carrying, crawling and of course running!
What if I want to skip an obstacle or cannot complete it?
We encourage you to give everything a try but if you fail an obstacle be prepared for some burpees.
What time does it start / finish?
Registration opens at 09:00 and closes at 10:30. Please allow time to complete a medical declaration and collect a wrist band. The warm up will begin at 10:45 and the race waves are 11:00 & 11:30.
Can I run as part of a team?
Yes, there are team tickets available for 6 or more people at a discounted rate of £36pp. Please note that a single upfront payment will be required for the entire team. We will need a full name and email addresses for each runner. Additional runners can be manually added by the CCR team.
What are my parking options at the event?
There is parking on site but why not connect with other runners via the Cornish Cider Run facebook page and car share.
What should I wear / bring to the event?
This is an outdoor physical event, so quick drying sportswear is recommended and of course trainers. Bring a set of warm dry clothes for afterwards and a bag for your muddy stuff.
What facilities are there on site?
There are toilets and changing facilities on site. Showers may be a more natural water source! There is also a room to leave your bags but this is not supervised.
Will I be able to bring / purchase food / drinks?
You can bring your own food / drink but no alcohol. In addition to the free Cider and water provided at the end of the race, you will be able to purchase refreshments on site.
Is my registration / ticket transferrable?
You can transfer your ticket providing we have notification from the original purchaser and the new participant completes a medical declaration on site. You would need to contact the team via email to arrange a transfer.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. We will have a nominal on site, so you would just need to confirm some personal information and complete a medical delcaration.
Will there be prizes for the winners?
We have male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, plus a prize for the first team across the finish line. There will also be a goodie bag for all competitors, including a t-shirt and a few extra surprises.
Will the race be timed?
Yes, all competitors who cross the finish line will be given a time, which will be emailed after the race.
Are spectators and dogs allowed?
Support from friends and family is encouraged and there will be food and drink stands on site and a couple of accessible viewing points for spectators to cheer you on along. We just ask that you do not allow children on the obstacles ! Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome but there are other animals and farms surrounding the estate, so please bear this in mind.
What is the refund policy?
The tickets are non refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.
